Mondariz Spa rests upon three springs with mineral-medicinal water, declared as being of Public Interest in 1873. Sabaxans spring has been used for exclusive spa cosmetics line purposes. The Gándara and Troncoso springs, are used as drinking water, a complement to different treatments Mondariz Spa provides. Troncoso spring is located at about 1 km, outside spa resort and it was built at the beginning of the 20th century. Gándara spring is also used for the application of different thermal bath techniques within the spa and is situated in the vecinity of 2005 inaugurated Water Palace.

~~~ Main minerals at Mondariz Spa: carbonic gas, bicarbonate, calcium, sodium and iron. All these components have made famous Mondariz throughout since 19th century to nowadays. Spa goers are coming to this thermal facility to follow treatments for kidnney problems, dermathological issues, relaxation, digestive problems (stomach hyperacidity) as well as relieving rheumatism, diabetes... from medical treatments to aesthetic use. Mondariz water is well-known as the most alkaline water in Spain.

EL balneario de Mondariz es una pasada. Se trata de un centro de alto nivel en cuanto a la calidad de sus servicios. Estuve con mi marido por nuestro aniversario y volvimos a casa renovados por completo. Tiene una buena carta de tratamientos corporales, las envolturas de algas y el tratamiento para piernas cansadas son geniales. El masaje celta es una maravilla y el Palacio del Agua, simplemente te olvidas de cualquier estrés o pesadez. Para que os hagáis una idea, es como Baden Baden o Karlovivary pero al estilo gallego. No me imaginé que en pleno corazón de Galicia pudiera existir un conjunto balneo-terapeútico tan bonito y con tanto nivel.
