I have had several treatments and never a problem at SOMA East. Their massage therapist is certified. I don't care if the owner is a certified esthetician - she doesn't do the treatments, she runs the business. I always get reminder calls about my appointments; they are always professional. The employees there are human, just like you and me, and will make human errors from time to time. If you expect them to be perfect, you will find that they won't meet your expectations. I am at the spa at least every 2 months, if not more often, for the past 3 years. If you want the royal (and pricey) treatment, then go to Jane's for En Vogue (and I do enjoy that, too!), but for cost effectiveness and maintenance, SOMA is wonderful.

I've never been to Soma for a spa treatment but I can tell you that the hair stylists in the South end are wonderful!  I get my hair cut by Sara Huggins and I will never go to anyone else.  She's the best!

WELL I HAVE BEEN TANNING AT SOMA FOR ALONG TIME NOW AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING BAD WITH THE PLACE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ASKED HOW MY TAN WAS AND I WAS FOR SURE INFORMED THAT THEY HAD NEW BALBS IN THE BED. SOMETIMES PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES GET OVER IT. I HAVE BURNT THERE BEFORE, BUT U KNOW WHAT I DELT WITH IT AND I WENT BACK. BUT I LOVE SOMA AND I WILL KEEP GOING THERE FOR MY SERVICES AND TANNING LOVE YA GUYS!!!!!!

I could not be more unimpressed than I am with Soma.  Calling it a spa is a stretch. I don't believe in saying negative things about a place of business without having legitimate complaints. I noted that the first time I went there, they made no recommendations as to how long I should tan for. We are going on a trip and I needed a place on the way home ffom work to tan, so I thought I would keep going there, even though they seemed very unexperienced and immature. Don't get me wrong, the majority of the young people there are quite nice, but unprofessional and really uneducated in customer service. I went for my 7th tan, had gotten up to 10 mins the last 3 visits, so did my 10 minutes and went home. By 6:30 I knew I was badly burnt.  I called at which time they said they had put new bulbs in the beds, but failed to mention it. Most tanning salons advise cutting your time back by 2 to 5 minutes if the bulbs are new. I am at home as I am too burnt to wear clothing.  The "manager" gave me my minutes back, but offered nothing else and advised that I hydrate and use lots of aloe vera.  So, I am hoping that my holiday will not be ruined, but I am afraid I might peel due to the nature and degree of the burn. The times I have gone previously, I let it go that no one there offered to show us the facility (ie: how the beds work, where the washrooms are, etc.), that never once when leaving was I asked how my tan was or if I wanted to rebook.  I wish I had never started going there but have researched enough now to be able to safe guard myself until my minutes are finished.

I see the prices are lower at Soma however, their owner is not a certified esthetician.  The experiences that I have had there was like nelson said a 'truck stop'.  Their standards and services do not compare to the other top spa's in Regina!

By far the best spa in Regina.  Service, and staff are wonderful.  As for the owner  the staff rave about her.  They have me hooked.
