Nestled into the hillside below our Main inn, The Spa's 40,000 square feet is camouflaged by a subterranean design. The inspiration comes from the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, weaving together the elements of fire, rock, water and light. High stone walls, fireplaces and waterfalls accent the centerpiece, a magical pool area. The Spa is reached by underground tunnels running from the Inn, or by a waterscaped path that begins at the foot of the Sunset Terrace. A waterfall and gardens lush with native plants draw on the beauty of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Two skylights overlook the Spa's lap pool. High stone walls and Arts & Crafts - inspired torchieres create an intimate setting. Two waterfalls grace the area that divides the lap pool from the main Spa pool. A fire warms the chamber. A glass atrium over the Spa's main pool bathes this inviting oasis in natural light. Men's and women's whirlpools are located just steps away. |
