Asus has confirmed the launch of its next gaming smartphone. The Asus ROG Phone 6 will be available on July 5. Yes, the launch is still more than a month away. Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6 will be available worldwide on July 5. It is unknown whether the phone would be released in India concurrently with the worldwide event. In the meantime, the company has revealed that the gaming flagship phone would be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This comes as no surprise given that the impending ROG Phone was expected to include Qualcomm's latest top smartphone chipset.
The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, for those who are unaware. It is touted to provide 10% more power while improving efficiency by up to 30%. Furthermore, the 4nm chipset offers a max clock speed of 3.2GHz. It keeps a 1 + 3 + 4 cluster with one prime core, three high-performance cores, and four efficiency cores.

Furthermore, Asus stated that the forthcoming gaming phone will have a 165Hz refresh rate. The teaser image also suggests that the phone's top and bottom bezels would be somewhat thicker. Asus is also expected to include a dual speaker arrangement for better gaming and multimedia experience. The phone should, of course, have an AMOLED display.
