Motorola is preparing to release a slew of new smartphones in the coming weeks. The Motorola Frontier, which could be the world's first phone with a 200MP camera, is expected to be released, and the Razr 3 flip phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is also on the way.

The Moto G42 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed "hawao," which refers to the Snapdragon 680 4G processor. The Snapdragon 680 has four performance cores that run at 1.9GHz and four power-efficient cores that run at 2.4GHz.

The Adreno 610 GPU is paired with this chipset. In terms of memory, the device has 4GB of RAM according to Geekbench. However, when the phone is released, we can expect more RAM and storage options.
Furthermore, the device will ship with Android 12. The device received 376 points in the single-core test and 1538 points in the multi-core test, according to the benchmark scores.

The phone was previously spotted on TDRA with the model number "XT2233-2," which revealed its name. The device was also spotted with the same model number on EEC, TDRA, and WiFi certification websites, and with the "XT2233-1" model number on the FCC certification database. Finally, the phone has received BIS certification, indicating that it may be released in India as well. According to the specifications, the device will have an OLED panel, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, a triple rear camera setup, and a Type-C port.
