According to rumours, Oppo will launch the Reno 8 series in May 2022. The device's specifications have leaked online ahead of its release. According to the MyDrivers report, the Reno 8 will ship with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The new Snapdragon 7 series platform will be manufactured using a 4nm process. It will have an octa-core processor and an Adreno 662 GPU.
Along with the processor details, the report also reveals the phone's other specifications. The Reno 8 will be equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED display. It will support a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen's resolution will be Full HD+.
A triple-camera setup will be installed on the back. The main camera sensor on the Reno 8 will be a 50MP Sony IMX766. Along with the primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor will be included.
A 4500 mAh battery will be installed under the hood. Oppo will increase the Reno 8 series' fast charging capabilities from 65W to 80W. The phone is expected to launch with a 32MP front-facing camera sensor for selfies.
The Reno 8 series is expected to launch with up to 12GB of RAM. The phones will also come pre-installed with Android 12 and a layer of ColorOS 12 on top.
