Poco may be adding a new smartphone to its entry-level C-series lineup soon. Last month, an upcoming Poco handset with model number 220333QPG was discovered on the FCC certification website. We have now discovered the same device in the NBTC database. The NBTC database listing for Poco 220333QPG confirms that it will be launched in global markets as Poco C40.

A Rebranded Redmi 10C?

For those who are unfamiliar, model number 220333QAG corresponds to the Redmi 10C. (called Redmi 10 in India). As a result, the upcoming Poco C40 could be a rebadged Redmi 10C. Despite sharing the same model number, the upcoming Poco C40 may differ from the Redmi 10C in some ways.

According to a report last month, the upcoming Poco C40 smartphone may not be powered by a Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset. Instead, the company could use a low-cost JR510 processor. According to the report, the device will not ship with standard MIUI.

The upcoming Poco 40 has already been to the FCC, revealing some key specifications. The Poco C40 comes pre-installed with MIUI 13. However, instead of the standard MIUI, it may include the MIUI Go Edition. It's unclear whether the device's MIUI will be based on Android 11 or Android 12.

The Poco C40 will support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi networks. The upcoming Poco C-series handset will be able to charge at 10W. The Poco C40's length and width will be 167.18 x 76.87mm, according to the certification listing.

Only this much is known about the upcoming Poco C40 as of now. However, the handset should be available on other certification websites in the coming weeks.
