The POCO M5 is the second phone in India to feature the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset. Infinix launched the Infinix Note 12 Pro in August, making it the first device in the country to use this chipset. The POCO M5 also has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support, a 50MP triple-rear camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, an ARM Mali G57 GPU, and other features.

The POCO M5 will be available on Flipkart in India on September 13 at 12:00 PM. It will come in three colors: blue, black, and yellow.

The POCO M5 4G has a 6.58-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has an IPS LCD screen with a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and Widevine L1 support to stream HD content from OTT apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, and others.

It is powered by the Helio G99 SoC, one of MediaTek's most recent chipsets. This processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz and is built on a 6nm process. It is coupled with an ARM Mali G57 GPU. The device has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage. The device also has 2GB of Virtual RAM, which Poco refers to as Turbo RAM. It comes pre-installed with MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
The M5 features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. POCO includes a 22.5W charger in the box. A 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are also included.
