Redmi's latest entry-level smartphone, the Redmi A1, will be available in India beginning today. For those who are unaware, Xiaomi launched the Redmi A1 in the country earlier this week. The Redmi A1 is the company's most affordable offering, as well as its second smartphone with Android Go Edition.

The Redmi A1 costs Rs 6,499 in India for the 2GB + 32GB variant. It will go on sale today at 4:00 p.m. exclusively through Amazon and Mi Store. The smartphone is also available from Mi Home and other retail outlets.

The Redmi A1 has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 400nits peak brightness, a touch sampling rate of 120Hz, a waterdrop notch, and scratch resistance. The entry-level Redmi smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor and an IMG PowerVR GPU, and it comes with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The Redmi A1 has a dual-rear camera setup with an 8MP primary camera, an AI camera, and an LED flash. The smartphone has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
