The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, the latest device in the Realme GT 2 series, was released in China today. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is the series' third device, following the vanilla Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro, both of which are available in India. The newly released device is the successor to last year's Realme GT Master Explorer Edition.
Unlike the previous generation device, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is expected to be released in India this time. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is the world's first phone with LPDDR5X RAM, and it has a one-of-a-kind design that Realme describes as a "hard case legendary design." Corner protection (similar to a bumper case), metal rivets, a metal middle frame, and a glass design are all included with the phone. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition starts at CNY 3499 (approx. Rs 41,400) for the 8GB+128GB model, CNY 3799 (approx. Rs 45,000) for the 8GB+256GB model, and CNY 3999 for the top-of-the-line 12GB+256GB model (approx. Rs 47,300). The device is now available for pre-order in China and will go on sale next week. It is available in three different colors: black, white, and gold.

The 6.7-inch AMOLED display on the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also has HDR10+ support. The phone also has an X7 independent display chip. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The device features up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, making it the world's first phone to do so, as well as up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP (IMX766) primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 40x microscope lens. It has a front-facing 16MP selfie camera. Furthermore, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging. This is also the first Realme phone to include a GaN charger. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride, and it can reduce heat by up to 85%. The device will charge to 100% in 25 minutes using the new GaN charger.
The device also has an under-screen optical fingerprint scanner, dual VC flagship temperature control system, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, 4G LTE, 5G, NFC, dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C port, Android 12 OS, weighs 195 grams, and measures 8.17mm thick.
