One UI 6.0 Update Tracker

Samsung's One UI skin runs the company's entire smartphone lineup, from top Galaxies to low-cost models. Every year, Samsung releases a new version of One UI for its smartphones, and the majority of them are updated to the most recent version of the skin. Samsung released One UI 5 last year, followed by One UI 5.1. It is now time for One UI 6.0.

This post will go through when Samsung will release One UI 6.0, its highlights, and the expected list of compatible smartphones and tablets. Continue reading.

One UI 6.0 Release Date

There is no official news on when One UI 6.0 will be launched. In October of last year, the One UI 5 update began going out to smartphones. We may also anticipate a similar timeline for One UI 6, with devices receiving the stable update in September or October of this year. One UI 6 beta would be available sooner, and we can expect One UI 6 beta for Galaxy devices as early as August.

One UI 6.0 Design

With One UI 4, Samsung gave the skin a major facelift, introducing Material You-based Design to One UI. Since then, one user interface has remained largely unchanged. That's because Android's Material You design language has remained unchanged. We didn't notice any big changes with Android 14; we're unlikely to see anything new with One UI 6.0. It could adhere to the design ideas of One UI 5 and One UI 5.1 with minor modifications.

One UI 6.0 Expected Features

While Samsung has yet to formally unveil One UI 6.0 and the main features it delivers, we may anticipate the following features with the One UI 6.0 update:

Granular Access To Media

Google introduced this capability with Android 14, and it may be included with One UI 6. If this functionality is added to One UI 6.0, you will be able to grant apps access to single photographs or videos rather than a folder or disc as a whole.

Better Share Sheet

Android 14 has an improved share sheet that allows developers to add custom actions to the share menu. We can anticipate the same with One UI 6.0.

Per App Language Preferences

Per-app language preferences were included in Android 14. multiple apps can be configured to work in multiple languages using this feature. With this new functionality, language is now a universal setting.

Camera Assistant for Galaxy A smartphones

In April, a moderator on Samsung Community stated that the photography assistant seen on the S series of handsets would soon be accessible on the Galaxy A line of devices.

New back arrow for gesture navigation

One significant update included with Android 14 Beta 1 is the new back arrow function. When gesture navigation is enabled, a back arrow bubble appears when you swipe back from the left or right edge of the display. This functionality is expected to appear in One UI 6.0.
