The Moto G72, Motorola's upcoming G series smartphone, was recently spotted on multiple certification websites. The G72 has been listed on FCC, TDRA, and IMEI databases around the world, and it has also appeared on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in India, indicating that the device will be launched there soon.
The aforementioned listing did reveal a few key device specifications, such as battery capacity and charging speeds. A new Pricebaba report has revealed the phone's launch date in India as well as some key specifications. Let's go over the specifics.
Moto G72 India Launch Timeline and Specifications
First and foremost, according to the report, this will be a 4G device rather than a 5G device. The Indian variant of the Moto G72 4G has the codename "Victoria22," and the model number is XT2255-2, which is the same model we saw on the BIS yesterday. In terms of the launch date, the device is expected to be released in India in September or October, but no information on the week or day has been released.
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is expected to be launched in India in September. The Moto G72 is expected to launch after the Edge 30 series phone on September 8th.
The Indian variant of the Moto G72 4G has a codename of "Victoria22," according to the report. The phone is said to have a triple rear camera unit with a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 2MP camera. The phone is said to have a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The Helio G37 or a new (unannounced) MediaTek SoC will power the phone.
Furthermore, the G72 will be available with 6GB/8GB RAM and 4GB Virtual RAM support. According to the certifications, the phone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. While there is no word on pricing, based on the specifications, the phone could cost anywhere between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 in India.
