POCO's latest M series smartphone, the POCO M5, was launched in India last week. POCO's new budget phone is the successor to last year's POCO M4, and it is a 4G-only device. The Helio G99 SoC from MediaTek powers the device. This is the second device in India, following the Infinix Note 12 Pro, to feature MediaTek's new SoC.
The POCO M5 will go on sale in India for the first time today. Starting today at noon, the device will be available on Flipkart. The POCO M5 is available in two variants: 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The 4GB variant costs Rs 12,499, while the 6GB variant costs Rs 14,499. Buyers can take advantage of the following deals:

The POCO M5 has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It also includes Widevine L1 support. The MediaTek Helio G99 SoC powers the phone. This is coupled with the Arm Mali G57 GPU. The POCO M5 has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage.

The POCO M5 has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera.
In addition, the device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. In terms of software, the POCO phone ships with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. A 3.5mm headphone jack, Game Turbo 5.0, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, an IR blaster, and Bluetooth 5.3 are also included.
