Riot appears to be working on a new cascading Agent selection system for Valorant, and the community isn't too happy about it. ValorLeaks, a well-known leaker, revealed the new system was in development when they posted screenshots of a new cascading Agent picking system.
The system will effectively allow players to select their preferred Agent in the order that they appear on the screen. Instead of allowing all players to choose, the game will allow each player to choose their Agent in a specific order, with each player receiving 10 seconds before moving on to the next.
On the professional side of things, Riot has also confirmed that the Valorant circuit will be getting a partnership system in 2023. The new model will include a stipend system, which will allow teams to form a financial partnership with Riot.

This is similar to how Legends are chosen in Apex Legends and League of Legends, and it appears that a similar system could be implemented in Valorant as well.

The public's reaction to this rumoured development must have been anything but encouraging for Riot, as the community appears to have come to the conclusion that this system isn't quite right for Valorant.
While the new system has received a lot of criticism, some fans believe it is worth a shot. Riot may have sent out surveys to gather feedback on the new Agent cascading pick system, according to ValorLeaks.
It's unclear how far along the new system is in development or when Riot plans to implement it in the game. At the moment, it appears that the Valorant community as a whole will not take well to this change, but Riot may be able to re-tool the new system in a way that fans will accept.
